Gas cooker connections must be safely capped off by a Gas Safe registered engineer before collection. Please arrange this before we arrive. Our team then collects, loads and disposes of the appliance correctly.
WEEE Regulations Apply to All Cookers
Electric cookers, ovens, and range cookers are all classified as WEEE under UK law. They must be disposed of through a licensed carrier and authorised treatment facility. WMS NE is registered under EA licence CBDU 486667.
Cookers Are Heavy and Require Two People
A standard freestanding cooker weighs 45 to 80 kg. Range cookers can exceed 120 kg. Our two-person team brings correct lifting equipment and floor protection, preventing damage to tiles and kitchen units.
Retailer Takeback Requires Advance Booking
Appliance retailers charge £20 to £50 for cooker collection at the time of purchase. If you have a cooker to remove separately, WMS NE collects same day or next day with no advance booking requirement.
